Hiatus Kaiyote’s last album, titled Mood Valiant was an exceptionally riveting album full of emotional depth and intricate melodies. Each song presented a unique blend of genres, showcasing the band’s versatility and creativity. Standout songs from this album were ‘Red Room’, ‘Sparkle Tape Break Up’, and single ‘Chivalry Is Not Dead’.

Mannydior has dropped off a new video for his song “Wealth”. A refreshing, luxurious visual accompaniment for his hard-hitting, bass-heavy cut “Wealth”, the new video captures the audience’s attention immediately with its energizing feel. The infectious “Wealth”, centred around heavy 808s, crisp percussion, and rising, epic synths- makes for an apt backdrop for Mannydior, who spits a series of catchy, commanding verses that blend melodious inflections with a rawer delivery. The new video, directed and edited by Keaton Jones, captures Mannydior in his element with a series of clean, focused shots as dior captures the track’s themes with luxurious backdrops and a charismatic performance that keeps the listener’s attention throughout.

When asked about the inspiration behind “Wealth” and the new video, Manny dior says “‘Wealth’ was a track i recorded pretty quickly and didn’t really think much of until relistening a couple times, I freestyle that song over a beat produced my ‘Prod. Molly’. I really just wanted to record something upbeat and hype that supporters could bop their heads to”. He continues, “the video was supposed to be kind of a run and gun just all around fun video. Didn’t wanna over do it with a crazy video, because the song kinda speaks for its self”.
