New Orleans artist Kidnap has shared a new single called “When She Gets High”. Containing an engaging mixture of lyrically-focused rap and melodious vocals, “When She Gets High” contains a warm and versatile sound that recalls some of Mac Miller’s work, while also standing on its own with its refreshing songwriting.
Bright guitars opens “When She Gets High”, before organic-sounding percussion and rich bass drop in beneath to give the track an infectious rhythm. Kidnap glides across the vivid production, with smooth rap flows giving way to an uplifting hook that gives the song added replay value.
