Vancouver artist Fleetwood Huey has shared a mellow, bouncy new track called “The Cure”.
“The Cure” features laid back synths that keep a steady pace as organic sounding drums play out beneath. Subtle, warm keys underscore the beat, signalling in the start of Huey’s catchy chorus. Vocally, Huey comes through with some breezy verses that contain flexible, clever rhymes. Furthermore, he showcases his versatility by delivering both smooth raps and easy-going singing.
Overall, “The Cure” is an entertaining release from Fleetwood Huey. The instrumental is warm and carefree, and he brings some well-written melodic rap vocals over top. One can definitely look forward to more releases from Fleetwood Huey with much anticipation.
