(Liv).e explores refreshing, vibrant territory with ‘PAST FUTUR.e’

By Hazel Clementine

I never would have imagined that RnB could venture into such refreshing experimental territory until I listened to the groundbreaking release ‘PAST FUTUR.e’ by (Liv).e. (Liv).e is an artist who unabashedly lives outside the conventional norms with her outlandish, unique ideas. She pours her boundless energy and creativity into every aspect of her work, from her striking style and compelling artistry to, of course, her mind-bending music.

Her latest album is more than just a collection of songs; it’s a journey, a sonic exploration that takes listeners on a wild ride through an eclectic mix of melodies that are as varied as they are captivating. Paired with abstract beats and atmospheric soundscapes, these elements push the boundaries of traditional RnB, challenging what we thought we knew about the genre. It’s a listening experience that reassures us that the future of RnB is not only bright but also innovative and unapologetically idiosyncratic and character-rich.

From the start of the album, ‘Bad Girl’ really takes you through a journey of what a bad girl does in a day and how it sonically impacts your energy while listening. But as you continue to go through the album you have to wonder is this mysterious bad girl taking you through her life of unstable expressionism or insanity? Is this ‘Bad Girl’ (Liv).e? Only you could interpret these thoughts & questions that take you through the ride of your life! Listen here
