With features from SeanWyze and Brandon Lott, the project’s dark, cohesive, mystical sound brings something refreshing to the table, enhanced by poetic, vivid lyricism. The creeping, thought-provoking pace of opener “Culture/Freedom” gives it an intriguing, expansive depth, while the meditative pianos and introspective lyricism of “Window Pane” are gripping and evocative. The weaving, lush off-kilter production of “$upreme Clientele” has the song living up to its name, accompanied by dusky, raw flows that distill the track’s nocturnal, sharp sonics.
